Provision 2025
Provision with Salvation
Sunday, April 13, 2025
Most people in their life whether in their family, friends, co-workers have people they are believing the Lord for their Salvation. Within this lifeboats lesson we are going to discuss provision for Salvation.
Discussion Point #1: What scriptures can we stand on for someone to become a Christian?
1 Timothy 2:1-4 (AMP) 1First of all, then, I urge that petitions (specific requests), prayers, intercessions (prayers for others) and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all people, 2for kings and all who are in [positions of] high authority, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3This [kind of praying] is good and acceptable and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge and recognition of the [divine] truth.
The scripture says our Savior desire all people to be saved. When there is a scripture to back up what you are praying it changes the battlefield in the spirit. We have a scripture we can pray “God you are not a man that you would lie, you said you want all men to be saved, I am believing the Lord for…”
Discussion Point #2: Sometimes we will not be the one to lead people to Jesus we are a believing the Lord for. Has there been a time where we were praying for someone salvation and another person said he prayer of Salvation with them instead of you?
1 Corinthians 3:6-8 (AMP) 6I planted, Apollos watered, but God [all the while] was causing the growth. 7So neither is the one who plants nor the one who waters anything, but [only] God who causes the growth. 8He who plants and he who waters are one [in importance and esteem, working toward the same purpose]; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.
When/if there ever comes a time where we are praying for salvation for someone and we don’t see it happening, don’t be discouraged. Here is another scripture we can use in prayer Apostle Paul is saying I planted the seed and Apollo watered it but God caused the seed to grow. One of us may plant the seed another person down the line may have a moment to say something that makes the seed grow, and down the line again another person may have the opportunity to lead that person to Jesus, and based on this scripture we can believe that God is causing the seed to grow.
Discussion Point #3: So someone is ready to accept Jesus what now? What do we say what scriptures do we use?
Romans Road:
-
Romans 3:23 (AMP) 23since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God,
-
Romans 6:23 (AMP) 23For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God [that is, His remarkable, overwhelming gift of grace to believers] is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
-
Romans 5:8 (AMP) 8But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
-
Romans 10:9-10 (AMP) 9because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation.
-
Romans 10:13 (AMP) 13For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord [in prayer] will be saved.”
Prayer of Salvation:
Lord Jesus, I need you.
Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins.
I ask you to come into my heart and forgive me of my sins.
I receive you as Lord and Savior of my life,
and from this moment on I will follow you all the days of my life.
Amen
