Provision 2025

Planted for Provision

Sunday, March 9, 2025

Discussion Point #1: Where we are planted is where we get our provision from. Where are we planted?

Psalms 1:1-3 (AMP) 1Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers). 2But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. 3And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].

When we are planted in God’s provision our needs are met, blessings come in, even our mind is at peace regardless of what comes.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 (AMP) 7“Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord And whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord. 8For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters, That spreads out its roots by the river; And will not fear the heat when it comes; But its leaves will be green and moist. And it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought Nor stop bearing fruit.

When we are planted correctly we can expect God to move on our behalf because we have made His Word our home. Faith begins where the Word of God is known, what is God telling us?

Discussion Point #2: Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17) The Word has to go in; in order to produce the faith; and the Word tells us what God’s will is so we have something to stand on. Faith! What is something that you are believing for? Are you willing to share? What scriptures are you using?

When we are firmly planted in Gods WORD the provision comes because we have fed our faith.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (AMP) 16All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; 17so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Discussion Point #3: By faith Noah obeyed God because he was firmly planted. He was safe because he obeyed by faith. Faith begins where the word of God is known. Where are we firmly planted?

Hebrews 11:7 (AMP) 7By faith [with confidence in God and His word] Noah, being warned by God about events not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his family. By this [act of obedience] he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness which comes by faith.

Challenge for the Week: Focus on faith scriptures. Re-read them. And feed your faith.
