Provision 2025

Provision for the Vision

Sunday, January 26, 2025

People will tell you who you were, God will tell you who you are becoming and what your identity is.

Discussion Point #1: Was there a time when you were newly saved when there was a character change inside and people from the past spoke or interacted with you like there was no change? (Examples: wanting you to pick up old places, play things, or anything that was not spiritually where you were at) How was that dealt with or handled?

2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMP) 17Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].

You cannot be set in motion when you don’t know your identity. Where there is a name there is identity. Where there is provision there is identity because you know who your father is to ask for what you need.

Discussion Point #2: What is a scripture about who you are in Christ (your identity)? Please share with the group and let us know why it is important to you.

Galatians 3:26 (AMP) 26For you [who are born-again have been reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified and] are all children of God [set apart for His purpose with full rights and privileges] through faith in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 7:11 11How much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

God doesn’t change. We do. If God was fallible we would never truly know how to please him because his desires on what pleases Him would change. He is infallible He never changes. He gives us the word His word so we know when we draw close to him it pleases him we become children of God because of the intimate relationship of wanting to please Father God and do what is right in his eyes therefore we cry Abba Father good fathers provide for their children and give them an identity and help them find and provide for their destiny.

Discussion Point #3: When has there been an Abba Father moment in our lives where He provided whatever it may be: comfort, finances, food, clothes?

Romans 8:15-16 (AMP) 15For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading again to fear [of God’s judgment], but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons [the Spirit producing sonship] by which we [joyfully] cry, “Abba! Father!” 16The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children of God.

Challenge for the Week: Ask God for a revelation this week about being a child of Father God, our identities, and provisions for the vision of our life.
