Provision 2025
Provision in Lack
Sunday, January 12, 2025
Matthew 6:31-33 31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Discussion Point #1: Think of a need in your life or someone else’s life where God met that need. What happened? How was it met?
The same God that met that need will meet your need that you have now.
Romans 2:10-11 10but glory and honor and inner peace [will be given] to everyone who habitually does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 11For God shows no partiality [no arbitrary favoritism; with Him one person is not more important than another].
God doesn’t respect one person over another; God respects their faith. Where the need is the provision will follow. Where is the need? Where is your need: money, food, clothes, healing? Faith will get your need met.
Discussion Point #2: When doubt comes after we ask for something what is our game plan to combat the thoughts that say our need won’t be met?
2 Corinhians 10:5 5We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ,
Isaiah 54:17 17No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord.
We know now we have the mind of Christ and God will meet our needs.
Discussion Point #3: Are there other promises from scripture that we can pull on when praying for a need to be met?
Malachi 3:10 10Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
John 14:13-14 13Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.
Proverbs 10:3 3The Lord does not let the righteous go hungry, but he thwarts the craving of the wicked.
1 John 3:22 22And whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.
Challenge for the Week: Don’t lose faith or hope that God will provide for your need. If you need hope and reminding re-read the lifeboat scriptures. They are promises for you. God will provide.
